John Benjamin (JB) Shertenlieb III

John Benjamin Shertenlieb III, “JB”, age 20 of Sanford, VA was called to Heaven on May 21, 2020.

JB was born on January 21, 2000 in Salisbury, MD. He was handsome, hardworking, helpful, respectful, intellectual, comical, and fiercely devoted to God. He was the first and best mate with his father and he also Captained his own helm. JB’s jovial, spirited, and loving nature regularly brought smiles to family, friends, and the watermen community. He enjoyed singing and dancing from the heart, and he also loved his momma’s cooking and any other food he could get his hands on. His favorite hobby was duck hunting with Bullwinkle, his devoted buddy.

He is survived by parents John Shertenlieb, Jr. and Patricia Shertenlieb, grandparents Tommy and Charlotte Fitchett, siblings Sarah Shertenlieb and Michael Milito, aunts Kelli Seal and Betty McFord, uncles John North IV and William Shertenlieb, a niece and several nephews, and dog Bullwinkle. A remembrance is being held at a later date.
