James Michael Bishop, Sr.

Of Parksley, VA passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home at the age of 59. Better known for his nickname "Bondo" by his family & friends. He was married to his long time love, Ruth Bishop of 34 years.  Born in New Jersey on August 29, 1964 and his parents were Patricia Joann Connolly and Thomas Edward Bishop Sr., both predeceased him and also, predeceased by a son, James Bishop, Jr. and a brother, Thomas Bishop.

He was a truck driver for many years.  He had a love for CB radio, his movies especially, Footloose, Denny's Crew, his Camaro. He was an avid hunter, loved shooting, cooking, loved his dogs and cats. He was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend.  He will be sadly missed with his big Hugs.

Other then his wife, Ruth, he is survived by his son Brandon Kyle Bishop, a sister, Patty Murphy, three brothers, Kevin, Stephen, Timmy Bishop, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and lots of friends.

There will be a Visitation on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home, Chincoteague, VA and will follow Funeral Service.
