Of Horntown, VA passed away at her residence on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the age of 94. She is the wife of the late Wilbur Hendricks Powell Jr. Born in Maryland on February 17, 1927 and her parents were the late Severn, Sr. and Tennis Lindell Bowden Whitehead. She was a member of Horntown Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Powell Adkins, two sisters, Audrey Williams, Ruby, a brother, Carlton Whitehead, four grandchildren, four great-grand children, and one great-great grand child.
