Seth W. Rux, 60, died peacefully at his home on Red Bank Creek in Marionville, Virginia on May 19, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and grew up in Virginia Beach before moving to his beloved Eastern Shore at age 13.. He graduated from Northampton Senior High Scool in 1977. Seth was an independent professional Waterman, fisherman, and the consummate Soft Shell Crabber. He was well respected among his peers. He liked the quote "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime".
Seth was predeceased by his beloved parents Rowland N. Rux originally of Ridgefield, Connecticut, and Mary M. Rux from Newton, Kansas; also his beloved nephew Daniel Yakovleff.
He is survived by sisters Sandra Rux of York, Maine and husband Alan Haesche; Peg Rux of Ashford, Connecticut and husband Nord Yakovleff; and nephew Damon Yakovleff of Portland, Maine and wife Nicole Anderson and daughter Flora Yakovleff. A service and celebration of Seth's life will be Saturday June 1 at 11am at his home at 11184 Red Bank Road.
