Benjamin Franklin Peters Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Peters of Chincoteague, passed away at his home in
Atlantic at age 80 on March 30th. His parents Pansy Isdell and Raymond
Peters and his brothers, Clay & Larry Peters and sister Paulette and
her husband Gene Bowden predeceased him. His sister, Gail Peters and
brother in law David Parker as well as several nieces and nephews
survive him.

Benjamin was well known on the island by the locals and tourists as
Uncle Benny the Taxi Cab Driver. He was quite a character picking up
fares while bar-hopping. Benny loved going to diner for his morning
coffee to hear gossip, chat with friends and squabble over any subject
brought to the table.

At a later date to be announced, there will be a small ceremony for
his ashes followed by a buffet and drinks for all friends and family
that wish to attend.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to
help with his cremation costs. Cash donations can be found in jars at
some businesses on the island, or anyone may mail checks made out
directly to Fox Funeral Home on Chincoteague Island.
